TackleTart is a specialized carp tackle store providing the widest range of high-end, UK- style carp tackle available in SA today.

The reason that TackleTart exists is because there are monster carp in this country—wild, powerful, and clever. To stand a chance of catching one of these magnificent carp one needs to trick it into picking up a hook and then fight the carp through all obstacles till it is in the net. This is not an easy thing to do. To catch monster carp consistently one needs access to the full range of carp tackle available. TackleTart provides the complete range of carp tackle necessary as well as the best advice from people who regularly catch big fish.

Being die-hard fisherman ourselves we know what works and what doesn't. We don't stock every brand,we stock the best brands! Best for us means a balance between the technical quality of a product and the value for money that a product offers. Generally we stock the mid range to high end tackle. Tackle that you can count on to land big fish in tough conditions because as anglers this is the tackle we are personally interested in. Not everyone needs this type of tackle however, and we also stock some entry level tackle that works for the social angler or kitting up the novice affordably.

In the 80s a carp over 10kg was a monster. Today a fish of 10kg would not surprise anyone. This change is due to an improvement in specimen carp tackle and techniques and it is very satisfying to help customers catch the carp of their dreams.
